A Year of Contribution
FAYETTEVILLE, NC – Movers At Demand Inc. (M.A.D. Moving) did a whole lot more than help
make relocation convenient for families in the Fayetteville area in 2010. The
professional moving company, certified and licensed by the state of North
Carolina, made an impact on lives right here in our community. M.A.D. Moving is
locally owned and operated, and is driven on the concept of giving back to
families in need. The company created the M.A.D. Moving Charitable Foundation
to focus on just that – helping others.
M.A.D. Moving contributed to
helping better the lives of others in 2010 in many ways. The company
participated in the Heart of Carolina Food Drive to collect nonperishable food
for the food bank. M.A.D. Moving also assisted ERA Strother Real Estate in
their efforts to collect more than 2 tons of nonperishable food for families in
the Fayetteville area.
The M.A.D. Moving Charitable
Foundation assembled and distributed M.A.D. Moving Care Packages to give to
families in Fayetteville struggling through hard times. Care packages consist
of food, hygiene items, and other personal necessities.
M.A.D. Moving helped spread
the Christmas spirit in 2010 and took part in the Hope Mills Christmas Parade
in December. Candy and toys were given to girls and boys in the audience.
The moving experts also took
part in the Fayetteville Association of Realtors’ blood drive in early 2011.
M.A.D. Moving recruited donors and provided snacks and refreshments to the blood
donors after they gave blood.
M.A.D. Moving also showed community support as a
Corporate Sponsor and Volunteer at the Cape Fear Valley, Friends of the Cancer
Center Walk/Run in the fall. The company greeted participants at the finish
line and supplied them with Gatorade and water.
“Working in the community to
help others in need is extremely rewarding. Our organization is always looking
for ways to assist others and help make a difference in someone else’s life,”
stated Jana Gibbs, V.P. of Marketing for M.A.D. Moving.
The M.A.D. Moving Charitable
Foundation is ramping up for the 3rd Annual Feed the Homeless event
on Wednesday, February 23 from 12-3 p.m. at the VFW Post 6018 in Fayetteville.
M.A.D. Moving is having a can and clothing drive in conjunction with the Feed
the Homeless event. Hundreds of hungry individuals will receive a large feast
that day and will also be able to take clothes and blankets with them after they
eat. The nonperishable foods will be given to the local food bank. Attendees will
have the chance to enroll in the employment recruitment process that M.A.D.
Moving created for the event. Individuals will leave their name, contact
information, and employment history, and M.A.D. Moving will work with
Fayetteville employers to try to line up temporary and full-time employment for
these individuals in need.
